LOUIS ANTHONY PAPPAS (Age 90)
Of Arlington, VA went to rest April 5, 2014. Louis was born July 2, 1923 in
Washington, DC and was the son of Eva Diacoumakou and Anthony George Pappas. He
served in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII and was a survivor of Pearl
Harbor. After the war he opened Aladdin Radio and Television, which he and his
brother operated together. Being a natural entrepreneur he opened diners in the
DC and VA area, but his passion was always commercial real estate. He is
survived by this son Charles Lanaris, three grandchildren, two nieces, Stella
Pappas and Evamarie Oglander, and his nephew Dr. Anthony Pappas. He will be
missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9 at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson
Blvd., Arlington, VA 22203, from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a service on Thursday
April 10, 11 a.m. at Saint Katherine Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls
Church, VA 22041. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Humane
Society.
